Brilliantly Rooted Inspiration

St Johns Wood was inspired by an ‘olde’ district of northwest London which was once part of the Great Middlesex Forest. This district was one of the first London suburbs to be developed with a large amount of low density “villa” housing, as opposed to the terraced housing which was the norm in London up to the 19th century. St. Johns Wood is home to Lord’s Cricket Ground, the original headquarters of cricket. It’s famous for Abbey Road Studios where The Beatles recorded the Abbey Road album, and the King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery was formerly based at St Johns Wood Barracks. It’s here that you’ll also find St. Johns Wood Church Grounds, which contain the only nature reserve in the City of Westminster. Today it remains a very affluent and highly desirable residential district—one of the most expensive areas of London.

Our modern day version of St. Johns Wood takes its cues from this remarkable London suburb. Originally deep woods, the developers of our apartment community worked to maintain as much of the wooded surroundings as possible in order to provide a serene setting for our residents. Though tucked away, it’s not so far out of the way that you can’t chat up your mates over an ale at one of the many hotspots in Reston. Peaceful seclusion in close proximity to the heart of it all—it’s a brilliant combination.
